Our son Oliver has an Elmo Live that was purchased for him when he was about 6 months old. He is now 1 and as much as he loves to watch and listen to that Elmo, it just isn’t designed to be handled by a child that age.
So we began a search for an Elmo he could hold and love. When we came to this one, he immediately reacted with joy and squeals. He held it tightly the entire trip in the store.
It is very easy for operate—all they have to do is move it around. He has about 20 different phrases. It has been banged on the floor, smacked around, etc and is holding up well. It is also the perfect size for his small hands.
Highly recommend, though the price seems to vary quite a bit between retailers.

This toy is a must in the diaper bag when I take my 11 month old out. Still on the original batteries that came with it. This is one tough toy.

My baby received this for Christmas and absolutely loves it. She will be 13 months in 4 days. She gets such a kick out of hearing elmo make funny noises and watcing elmo’s mouth move open and close. It is small, lightweight, and easy for her to shaking. (When baby shakes elmo, elmo talks). 5 stars from me!

I was never a fan of Elmo (or any other annoying character) but after searching for the perfect toy bar for the car without any luck I moved on and found this. My son is 10 months old and is not yet entertaining himself for very long periods. This toy can get annoying if you are listening to it on a 24/7 basis, but most noisy toys are annoying to me anyways. The way we use this is to keep it in the car and my little boy plays with it during car rides ONLY. Elmo laughs and says cute phrases in his high pitched voice. Can be hand washed if you take the battery pack out. Overall a good value for my sanity and focus on driving when the alternative is listening to a screaming baby.
